Abstract

The aim of this study is to design and evaluate some different units of solar stills constructed as follow a: (control unit, preheating unit, air blower unit and air suction unit). Some different parameters, which affect on the productivity of solar still units, were studied as brine depth, slope angle of glass cover, feed water and cover material. The results show that the highest productivity was with preheating unit (6030cm3/m2.day) with brine depth 2cm, cover slope angle 20°, and feed water time every two hours.
